The  course  presents  the  fundamental  principles  of  telecommunications  devices  and  systems  used  for  satellite  communications  and  radar  with  main  emphasis  to  the  transmission  and  the  reception  of  electromagnetic signals.  The  course,  even  considering  a  rigorous  theoretical  approach,  will  cover  the  most  challenging  applications  and  issues  for  a  telecommunication  engineer  working  in  the  field  of  satellite  communications  and  radar.  Toward  this  aim,  the  course  consists  in  lectures,  interactive  computer  aided  simulations.
